With the county championships now over, it’s time to turn attention to the domestic front with Carisbrooke’s own internal club championships.
This year’s tournament runs from Saturday, August 26, until Saturday, September 9, with a big Finals Day celebration planned for that date (Sunday, September 10, is being set aside as a reserve Finals Day option in case of poor weather).
There are the usual array of handicap and level events to suit all abilities as well as age-group events for the, eh hem, slightly older members among us.
Entry forms are in the clubhouse and can also be downloaded here. Please take note of the ‘eligibility’ box to assist tournament organiser Jack Simpson with scheduling matches.
The closing date for entries is Sunday, August 20, with the tournament information and schedule due to be put up in the clubhouse from Thursday, August 24. The first matches then get underway on Saturday, August 26.
